Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital Mother's Day 5K Run/Walk, 3K - Walkers only and Kids Fun Run

For over thirty years the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital (the former Milford Hospital) has hosted a Mother's Day Run & Walk to promote wellness & health. All abilities are invited to join us as we celebrate this special day!  

Proceeds from this year’s Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk will support the Orthopedic Department at Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital.

Our 5K chip timed Run (or walk) and 3k Fitness Walk (untimed) begins & ends at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital.

You can RUN or WALK the entire 5K if you want to be timed & eligible for awards. Our 3K walk (1.8mi) will not be timed. 

We also offer a FREE, 1/10 mi Kids Fun Run prior to the start of the 5K.   All kids 5th grade (10 years) & under can enter this non-competitive (no awards) fun run.

We encourage all levels of participants for all of our events. Join us for a great start to Mother's Day.

SWAG- All 5K & 3K participants will receive a specially designed shirt and plenty of food & fluids. Shirt size and availability can only be guaranteed to pre-registered attendees by April 28. After that orders must be placed to insure on time delivery. There may not be desired sizes on hand/leftover after that date. We might even run out! So please don’t miss your chance.

has the same start as the 5k, but proceeds straight on Seaside through the East Broadway intersection.

It joins back onto the 5k course along the water at Fort Trumbull.

We ask all 3K participants to be SAFE and use all sidewalks wherever available. 

The 5K & 3K courses are very flat and have scenic views as you travel past Long Island Sound. Our 5k course is accurately measured, well marked with mile splits & has a water table. Police & volunteers on the course will help keep you safe as you run or walk through the picturesque neighborhood. 

BOTH COURSES ARE WELL MARKED -flour arrows on the ground, turning sign arrows, traffic cones, Police (requested) and wonderful volunteers. The water table will be at the very scenic Fort Trumbull venue.

The Kids run- held before the start of the 5k/3k- is FREE for 10yr old & under only.

But we do ask that you preregister them (above) so we may prepare for everyone!

Bib & shirt pickup outside at the front of Milford Hospital.

Online late registration- No cash acceptable.

Save the hassle of Sunday’s stress! Yes you can pickup for others as well.

7:45-9am Check-In, Bib & Shirt Pickup & online late registration, no cash on site.

8:45am    Kids Fun Run -Two laps, safely, in the registration lot 

8:55am    Announcements

9:00am    Start 5K Run & 3K Walk  

9:15am    Snacks & fluids 

10:00am  Awards presented to the 5K participants

AWARDS- We offer very generous younger and older age group prizes for the 5K  and prizes for mom/daughter & mom/son teams. 

Prizes to overall Male and Female champions in the 5K as well as three deep in age groups 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, and ten year age groups thru 70+ (and beyond if they are pre registered!)

Reminder- There are no awards for the untimed, 3k walk. Only 5k timed participants are eligible for awards.
