NOW FEATURING A TIMED 5K RUN WITH SHORTER, UNTIMED .8 mi WALK OPTION
Run or walk 5K or walk 8/10 mile in the luminescent neon night and catch a rising star for literacy!
ALL OF OUR EVENTS START AT 8PM SHARP. Sunset is at 8:27pm So you'll be walking and running during the most comfortable part of the day.
We have listened to the comments and suggestions from our participants and the police and have made important changes to our course to improve your safety, help course flow and most of all TO HAVE FUN!
In order to encourage all abilities, ages, and families we now offer TWO CHOICES for all levels of participation.
OUR UNTIMED WALK & STROLL OPTION
NEW THIS YEAR- 8/10mi walk course- enjoy a walk at your own pace with friends, family, youngsters and tykes who are more comfortable with a shorter distance. Your registration bib will not have a computer chip and you will not be timed.
With this option we ask that you walk safely- use sidewalks where available, stay between cones and curbs for protection, watch for traffic and listen for faster runners who may be trying to pass you. NO EARPHONES PLEASE.
Milford Police are on duty but the roads are open, so be aware of your surroundings. Please follow the directions from volunteers.
OUR COMPUTER TIMED 5K RUN &Walk - your bib will have a computer timing chip on it
5k / 3.1mi run course - RUN OR WALK - but you must complete the entire distance to be eligible for overall champion and age group awards.

NEON NITE SCHEDULE
July 3 - cut off for guaranteed shirt size. After that date and on July 13, "as available". Shirts could be gone - please pre-register !
July 13- 6:30 – 7:55 pm Late registration and pre-registered pickup at the pavilion at Fowler field
8:00 pm BOTH WALK & RUN EVENTS START
8:55 pm AWARDS for 5k competitors, costumes, and other "best of" categories
9:00 pm Post Race Party at the Stonebridge restaurant and outdoor patio bar (21and over ONLY, please make sure you have your ID. Enjoy the NEON drink specials.
The registration/donation fee is $35 for all events and ages. ALL PROCEEDS AND FUNDS are used to support the Center’s vital literacy programs. Our programs help hundreds of local adults and children in need of educational services.
Awards are given to the top 5k distance runners and walkers as well as for best costumes/most enthusiastic/most NEON/highest pledges and many more. There are no awards given for the shorter, untimed walk distance. Our 5k age groups: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49. 50-59, 60+ (additional awards for 70/80/90 will be added if they are pre-registered.)
