About A Good Run
A Good Run (AGR) is a multi-media project exploring love, grief and resilience. The goal is to encourage everyone to show more gratitude for their health and the health of their loved ones.
AGR came from the idea that Kathleen Camp’s life is broken into 3 chapters – her youth, her life without Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and her life with PD. When referring to her life without PD she says “I had a good run,” and that is how the name of our initiative was born.
In addition to the race, AGR created a mini-documentary A Good Run: Finding Peace with Parkinson's showcasing the resilience and bond of the mother-daughter duo behind AGR. The mini-documentary follows Kathleen's life story and reality with Parkinson's. The story also follows the support given by her daughter, caregiver (and race director) Etana Solomon.
In addition to fostering gratitude, AGR aims to raise awareness and funds for the Parkinson’s Foundation, supporting research, resources, and hope for those living with PD. Everyone with Parkinson's can participate in the AGR 5K for free.
Spots are limited for this year's race! We encourage anyone eager to particiate to register early to guarantee a place at the start line.
Have a good run :)
