Montville Black & Orange Virtual 1K/5K Walk/Run

The Montville High School Physical Education Department will be hosting a virtual 1K/5K family walk-run to continue to promote lifetime fitness and overall wellness. We are asking families to complete the walk/run while practicing social distancing. Wear your black and orange to support Montville Public Schools!!!

Cost:  FREE- signs up start April 30 and run through May 18

When: May 11- May 18th. Anytime during these eight days, run a .62 mile or 3.1 miles. 

How is it going to work? Map your run using the MapMyRun app or a GPS watch, or map your path prior to going out and mark your time when you reach the 1K (.62 mile) or 5K (3.1 miles) distance. When you are done, log your time on the runsignup.com website where you registered.

We recommend the MapMyRun app. It is easy to use and easy to track. A Fibits, Apple Watch, or Garmin Watch will also track your distance phone free. 

Send us your pictures:  Our PE department would like to connect and show the community how we are all in this together, while staying fit and active. Send a picture of you and/or your family participating. We will create a picture collage that we would like to share with everyone!
