Sat November 28, 2020 Orange, CT 06477 US Directions

Place

525 Orange Center Rd.
Orange, CT US 06477

Description

Join the dedicated men and women of the Rotary Club of Orange for the 7th year as they host one of the fastest growing events in the area. Thanksgiving is the #1 running day in the country and we will help you have fun while burning those calories that will follow!

You'll have a choice of a 5k course to run or walk (as a timed event) or enjoy a one mile untimed walk course. All abilities are welcome. Our 5k (3.11mi) course is safe, scenic and family friendly. Run hard, run easy, push a stroller, move with the family...it's all good! The Orange Police and volunteers will be in place for your journey from the High Plains Community Center, thru the neighborhood, and back. There will be a water table on the course.
The one mile Walk for Health will take place within the grounds of the center on the groomed gravel pathway. In case of inclement weather/poor course condition we will use an alternate road mile course.
Great T-shirts will be given to all pre registered with sizes guaranteed by Nov 10th. After that there may be some available- but not guaranteed. So be safe and smart and register by then! There will be snacks and fluids after you are done- but we know you want to get on your way so don't fill up.
Awards in the 5K event will be given to the Male and Female Champions. In addition the top 3 men and women in each age group will receive medals. If you have to leave quickly we will do our best to have the medals ready for pickup after we verify your result. Our age groups are detailed in the events section.
One mile Walkers will receive  commemorative finisher ribbons.
Our computer chip timing is performed by Fast Track Timing- one of the best known timers on the East Coast. Please check your results before you leave so any errors can be fixed quickly. It is important to understand that you may only use your registered bib. Please do not give yours to another person nor take one offered to you. Doing so will affect the results of the race, potentially affect awards, and delay emergency services if required.  Thank you.
