Each year our Outreach Committee makes grants to non-profit organizations that serve the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the greater Stamford area. Over the past 10 years 25 agencies have received support and more than $250,000 has been invested in the community. Past recipients include Domus, Inspirica, Neighbors Link Stamford & Shelter for the Homeless, among others. Miles for a Mission participants are encouraged to raise money, in addition to their race registration fee, to support these great organizations. There will be a prize awarded to the person who raises the most money for the St. Francis Outreach Program.
New This Year! We are collaborating with the Stamford Jewish Community Center to present an Interfaith Road Race Series. The JCC's "Give A Child a Jump Start" Run/Walk is on Labor Day, September 7th. Participate in both road races! The fastest combined time for both road races will receive a prize at Miles for a Mission. Click here for more information and to register.
