Description

Join us for the 12th Annual Miles for a Mission 5K Run/Walk event!

Participate In Person or Virtually

For the In Person Run/Walk & Dogapalooza, join us at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 2810 Long Ridge Road, Stamford, CT, on Sept 24 at 9:00 AM - canine companions are welcomed to both events!  The Run will NOT be chip timed but, if you register as timed, we WILL record your finish time and place.  Your results will be posted on this website a few days after the event.
Dogapalooza will start at 9:15 AM & be in full swing after the Run/Walk with competitions for ‘Best Trick’, ‘Looks Most Like Your Dog’, ‘Best in Show’ and more.  The 5K course is USATF certified.
To take part in the Virtual Run/Walk any time between Sept 16 - 22, walk, run, jog, hike, swim or hop on your treadmill to complete your own personal 5K.  Participate with friends or family members!

Beneficiary of Run/Walk Proceeds

We are proud to announce that we have chosen the Salvation Army of Greater Stamford as the beneficiary for the 2024 Miles for a Mission Run/Walk. Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for the work of this important organization.
The Salvation Army of Greater Stamford serves the people in its community in their time of need -- great or small. Each individual is addressed as a whole person with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. The nonprofit aspires to assist individuals to become more independent through a variety of services and programs, such as training and mentoring the disadvantaged, providing character building programs for youth, and assisting the displaced or elderly. Their goal is always to: serve the most people, meet the most needs, DO THE MOST GOOD! For more info, visit their website at https://easternusa.salvationarmy.org/southern-new-england/stamford/.

We hope you will join us by registering, making an additional donation if you can, and spreading the word among your family and friends.
