Kids Helping Kids (KHK) proudly kicks off the 12th Annual Health Wellness & Lifestyle Expo on Saturday, Sept 9 at 8:30 a.m. with the KHK 5K Walk/Run for Good. The event, which is a fundraiser for KHK's programming, is at Kosciuszko Park, 200 Elmcroft Road, Stamford. The mission of Kids Helping Kids is to facilitate the development of leadership skills through youth-led service projects. All of our projects are initiated, managed and led by youth who want to make an impact in the community. Since our inception in 2009, KHK volunteers have planned more than 5,000 projects to benefit under-resourced children in Fairfield County. All are welcome to register on our website by Aug. 25 for early bird pricing. Following the walk/run, please join us at the KHK tent on the Harbor Point boardwalk for refreshments and the chance to be entered in a drawing prize.

Wanna support our youth-led programming? 

Raising money for KHK is easy: 

1. Start by registering to participate by clicking on the Sign Up button.

2. Become a fundraiser on behalf of KHK. Customize your personal page with a photo and your fundraising goal. Then join or create a team to run at the event.  As always your contributions are fully tax deductible. We are approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization.

3. Encourage family and friends to support your fundraising efforts by sharing your customized page.

You don't need to join the race to make a difference; every contribution, big or small, will create positive change at KHK.

Our course is designed for all abilities of runners and walkers. Flat & scenic route that starts and finishes in Kosciuszko Park. You’ll be able to run fast, or easy, or walk comfortably at any pace. 

Our event is a 5K Course (3.1 miles) in which you can RUN OR WALK either time or untimed.

Timed participants will need to complete the entire 3.1-mile course to be scored in the results. This event offers awards to the overall timed male and female champions. IF YOU ARE TIMED AND WALKING OR RUNNING THIS DISTANCE YOU WILL BE GROUPED INTO ALL FINISHERS AND BE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS.

If you choose to be untimed, please let us know at check-in.

August 1 - Sept 8 Online Pre-Registration Open

$40 for ages 19 & Over
$20 for ages 4-18                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

August 31 All registrants will receive a t-shirt if signed up by August 31st. ANY SIGN-UPS AFTER THAT WILL RECEIVE A SHIRT ONLY IF AVAILABLE

Sept 9     Day of Registration available, please arrive at least 30 minutes before to register and receive your t-shirt (if available) and bib.
               NO PAPER/CASH REGISTRATIONS. Day of Pricing: $50 - 19 & over / $25 - 18 & under 

Event Day Timeline 

8:30-9:15 am Pre-Registration pickup, Race shirts distribution & late registration  
9:30 am - 5K Timed and Untimed run or walk, both start together 
Awards to follow for the first 2 finishers (Male & Female)

3 Prize drawings ($100 value each, to be entered must present Walk/Run BIB), KHK Giveaways, Drinks, and Snacks to follow at the 12th Annual Health Wellness & Lifestyle Expo, 1 Harbor Point Road Stamford, CT 06902. Look for the KHK tables at the Kid Zone, Section 100, on the boardwalk.
