The Last Waltz 2024

On New Years Eve Day  12/31/24 -

Hosted by the LITTLE PUB in Lordship, a most unique themed event to run, walk, or waltz. 

 
LAST YEAR WE OFFICIALLY CLOSED on 12/29 having hit our 123 theme numbers.

We hope you can join us this year and celebrate a wonderful end of ‘24 at the LITTLE PUB! 

Last year we had a once in a lifetime set of consecutive numbers (1-2-3. 1-2-3) on 12/31/23.

This year- because so many asked- we have decided to host an event that revolves around those numbers again.

1.23 miles     (You will have the option of 1.23 miles OR 1.23 out & 1.23 back**)

(**2.46mi for those without a calculator) Yes we know for some of you this is just NOT long enough- so you can even go farther around this great neighborhood, on your own. But rest assured we will be safely inside, sipping champagne, to welcome your return!

SWAG of sorts-

We will be giving you winter hats. No shirts (but you can wear one if you want).

Everyone (21 & over)  gets a 'split' of champagne AND a half bottle of wine.

'After the event' an adult beverage- or softer version of fluids, your choice.

A FREE KIDS (9 & under) fun run at 1:03pm- prior to the start of the Last Waltz. Directed by the infamous Cat Herder Donna Cramond. {please prepare the little tykes for a "DC" ten minute warmup for the 200 yard long run.)

TIMING- by the ubiquitous Jim Gerweck. Accuracy is his middle name...

REFRESHMENTS-

Grab 'N Go snacks/fluids for those that need to rush off to other NYE adventures

AWARDS-

There will be the usual (or unusual) funky MS Running Productions "up from my basement" stuff. You just never know what it will be and neither do we. We will figure it out before the start.

Waltz music is written in ¾ time and usually counted in phases as 123, 456. Tempo averages 120 BPM’s for slow waltz but is about twice as fast for the Viennese waltz.
