COVID UPDATE:
Due to the Governor's recent orders regarding gatherings, the 2020 JBR is now a virtual race. With the restrictions of COVID-19 still in place, the logistics of proper safety and social distancing of 500+ runners simply isn’t possible. The move to virtual or as we are calling it a "DIY-JBR" allows the spirit of this community event to live on. You will still be supporting the race - but on your own terms and more importantly without having to deal with all the safety issues of large crowds concentrated on the course at the same time.

Participants will have from 12/5 - 12/24 to complete the 5K or Health Walk. You can still run the Official JBR course (yes costumes/festive attire are still encouraged!) where we plan to have event signage along the course. Neighbors along the route will also be encouraged to show their support for the runners from the safety of their homes as well. If you prefer to run a different 5K course - that's totally cool.

Upon completion you will be able to upload your times into our results database. Sorry - there will not be awards or a post race party.

As with the live event, all participants registered prior to Sunday Nov 29th will receive a commemorative shirt, race bib along with priority & discounted access towards the 2021 JBR. Shirts & Bibs for registrations received after the Nov 29th will be available while supplies last.

EVENT INFO:
Join us Saturday, Dec 5th through Thursday, Dec 24th, as the Nichols Improvement Association presents the 31st edition of our holiday classic. The DIY-JBR takes place on a scenic rolling hill 5K course through the heart of the Nichols community. Walkers are welcomed to participate in our untimed Health Walk on the rolling hills of Nichols. PLEASE Come Dressed to Run - There are no indoor changing facilities.

EVENT FEES:
$30 - Pre-registered online only
All participants registered prior to Sunday Nov 29th will receive a commemorative shirt, race bib along with priority & discounted access towards the 2021 JBR. Shirts & Bibs for registrations received after the Nov 29th will be available while supplies last.

The Nichols Improvement Association is a Not For Profit organization. Proceeds from the race go back into supporting numerous community events, maintaining our property, ball fields, community playground & the Starkweather House.

BIB/SHIRT PICKUP:
Times subject to change.
Friday 12/4 from 3:30 - 8pm @ Nichols Improvement Association (corner of Unity Road & Route 108) 
Saturday 12/5 from 7:30am - 3pm (same location)
Sunday 12/6 from 8am - 4pm
Alternate times and/or locations will be determined by demand.
