Paddles Fight Pediatric Cancer

Grab a partner, grab a paddle, and join us on the THS tennis courts on Saturday, October 24 to play for something bigger. Spots are limited to 24 teams, so register yours and start fundraising today!

The Story

This tournament started with a student who knows firsthand what pediatric cancer does to a family. Inspired by her family's experience, she launched the What Now Project to answer the question, "Someone you love has cancer. What now?" Paddles Fight Pediatric Cancer is her answer for THS: bring the school together and bring pediatric cancer awareness back to Trumbull High. Students and staff will spend the afternoon playing hard, having fun, and showing up for the kids and families who need it most.

Why it Matters

Pediatric cancer doesn't only affect the child who's diagnosed. It reaches siblings, parents, friends, classmates and whole communities. Every dollar raised goes to LivFree, a Connecticut nonprofit that brings joy, hope and real support to families through the hardest days of their lives.

Benefitting LivFree

LivFree is a Trumbull based nonprofit organization that provides Moments of Joy for children and families facing pediatric cancer. A Moment of Joy can be a concert, sporting event, anything that offers a family some hope and joy amidst the struggles associated with a cancer diagnosis. All money raised from this event will be donated to LivFree! The $1,500 fundraising goal represents the amount of money it takes to provide a family a Moment of Joy. Help us use pickleball as a way to provide hope and joy to the families who really need it!
