Our Charity History and Information, our partners, sponsors and volunteer groups

Thanks to our generous sponsors, partners, the Town of Weston and our participants- over $220,000 of net proceeds have been donated to charities in our state.

2017 and 2018 Proceeds of the Half Marathon supported the CT Food Bank Backpack programs of the Connecticut Food Bank. This charity provides six meals and two snacks in the backpacks for 3000 students on Friday afternoons. The program insures that the children will have food over the weekend!

Proceeds from the 2019 Half Marathon went to the Kiwanis Club of Weston Foundation, Inc.  (501(c)3) to be used for disadvantaged youth related and other needs identified by the Foundation.   The Foundation also provided proceeds from the 2019 5K to the Weston Boosters for the Captain's Leadership Circle programs at Weston High School.

We hope you will help us thank our community organizations that participated through the Nonvirtual racing seasons:
Weston Volunteer Fire Dept. - water station
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts  - water stations.
Some Weston Police that are able to volunteer their time
The Weston Historical Society - stuffs the swag bags.
The Key Club volunteers (high school Kiwanis group)
The Weston Board of Selectmen volunteer for greeting and check-in organization.
The superintendent of Schools and High School Principal assist with check-in and help coordinate the use of the school for the race.

Norfield Church provides space for early pre-registration /swag pickup and late registration for non Virtual races.
Weston EMS volunteer their services.
Over 100 Kiwanians help with all aspects of the race and various people in the community assist in many ways.
Acoustic Cubed, a high school boys band, provides music.
Local Weston merchants provide food, prizes and financial support.
