The Gemstone Sparkle Sprint will be back for year three! This vibrant 5K trail event, hosted with the Prospector Theater, CT Run Co., and Brooks, invites runners, walkers, and families for a day of fun, food, and community, all in support of the Prospectors mission to create meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. By participating in the Gemstone Sparkle Sprint, you’ll be supporting our mission to employ people with disabilities. Your involvement helps the Prospector grow and continue to create life-changing experiences and opportunities within the community.
The Prospector is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities through meaningful employment. By operating a first-run movie theater we show the world that those of us with disabilities are capable of in-demand job skills. Employees of The Prospector are known as Prospects. Approximately 75% of our workforce self-identify with a disability. We sparkle, shine, and transform passions into professions while earning paychecks with competitive wages.
