Woodcock Nature Center welcomes runners, hikers and walkers of all ages at its annual Where the Wild Things Run 5K and Kids Fun Run. This year a hybrid-virtual race will be offered between October 23-October 25 (hours of 8am-6pm only) on the Woodcock Trails. Sign-up here to track your time. Run/walk on your own schedule! You can even become a fundraiser and promote your run to friends and family to increase your impact.
For several decades, this event has highlighted Woodcock’s nearly 5 miles of publicly accessible trails and raised money for the center’s educational programs. All proceeds support the nature center!
The popular 5K is 90% trail with a mix of groomed trails, rugged trails and narrow bridges/boardwalks. The terrain of the 5k highlights the diversity and beauty of the Woodcock property. A shorter 1K Kids Fun Run geared towards ages 6 and up is appropriate for walkers and runners of all ages.
As you complete your run/walk please post your photos on our Facebook Page wearing your Woodcock t-shirt!
