Race Options:
Full Marathon - Individual runners tackling the complete 26.2-mile course
Relay Teams - Share the challenge with 2-5 teammates
2026 Theme: Totally 80s! Break out your leg warmers, neon, and best '80s gear for costume prizes and a fun throwback atmosphere at this year's race.
Why Run Woodstock? This grassroots community event has raised over $40,000 for Community Kitchens of Northeastern Connecticut (CKNECT) and other local charities. Every registration supports food access throughout the region. Our motto is, "It takes a community to run a marathon"—and you'll feel that support every step of the way from our incredible volunteers, neighbors who gather to cheer on the runners, local sponsors, and fellow runners.
Course Details: The challenging course features rural roads with blind turns, some unpaved sections, and shared traffic. Our community-driven race emphasizes safety, camaraderie, and the satisfaction of conquering a tough course for a great cause.
-Because parts of the course are not paved, and in some more remote areas, it is possible that an injured runner might have to wait more than 15 minutes for emergency medical care. Emergency medical services will be on call during the race. However, please do NOT enter this race if you are not prepared to accept the risks associated with this course.
-There is a strict 6 hour pace for the marathon. Due to route safety and volunteer coordination, we can only allow runners on the course from 8:00am to 2:00pm. Town constables, EMS, water tables, and other support systems are planned to adhere to this schedule. Should a runner be unable to finish the course, the designated pacer vehicle will transport runners to the finish line.
