What is included in my registration?
In addition to your quarter zip pullover, you’ll receive a half marathon training plan provided by our training partner - Heartbreak Hill Running Company, 5 CambridgeSide Garage parking passes, a race bib with a timing chip, an invitation to the post-race celebration and three tickets to exchange for beverages!

Is the Cambridge Half Marathon open to all ages?
Yes! We have no age restriction on registration.

How do I know if I am registered?
After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email from RunSignUp.com. You can also search for your registration on our Find A Participant page.

Is there a training plan available? When will that be sent out? 
Training plans will be sent to all registered runners in their confirmation email & are provided by Heartbreak Hill Running Company (HHRC). There will be different levels (beginner, intermediate & advanced) & training plans start on August 26th. Included will be recommended mileage per day, rest days, cross-training days. Additionally, the HHRC run group date/times will be included so runners can get their mileage in with others, if they choose as well as ideas of places to get their cross-training in (spin, rowing, etc.). 

Can I transfer my race number to another person?
Yes! You can transfer your bib to another person up until packet pick up hours are over. The person you are transferring the bib to will only have to pay a small $25 transfer fee. Find out how here.

Can I run with my dog?
For the safety of all runners, we do not allow animals on the race course.

Can I run with a jogger/stroller?
Strollers are discouraged. In the interest of safety for all participants, including your child, you will be asked to line up at the back.

Are headphones permitted?
You may wear headphones. We ask that you keep the volume at a reasonable level for your own safety and out of courtesy for fellow participants.

Can someone pick up my bib for me?
Yes. They will need to know your bib number when they arrive at bib pick up.

How do I get my bib and swag?
You must attend packet pickup during the listed timeframes. Packet pick up is located at CambridgeSide (100 CambridgeSide Place, Cambridge, MA) on Level 2, near Footlocker. 
       Friday, November 1 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM
       Saturday, November 2 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
       Race morning starting at 5:30 AM

Can you mail my race swag?
All race items must be picked up during bib pick up hours before the race.

Is there a course time limit?
Yes. Our time limits are set to ensure runners are protected from traffic and have the support they need to finish. The half marathon has a 3-hour time limit. Runners of all abilities are invited to participate, provided they can finish the course within the timeframe.

What is included in the post-race celebration?
Race finishers will get a bottle of water, a bagel & a banana. There will be plenty of other snacks and drinks for everyone. Three tear-off beer tickets will be included on your bib if you are over 21. And there will be music!  Guest tickets for the party are $30 and will be sold on our registration site as we get closer to the event and during packet pick up hours. Make sure you are following us on social media to keep up to date on all the details.

Is there a bag check?
There is a bag check. You can drop your bag prior to the start of the race. The area will be monitored but not secure. Do not leave valuables behind. All bags are subject to search by the City of Cambridge Police. Please remember to pick up your bag immediately after you finish running so our volunteers can enjoy the festivities! 

What is your bad weather policy?
It is our goal to ensure a safe event for all involved. We will not expose participants or the community to undue risk as a result of staging the event. The Cambridge Half Marathon will take place rain or shine. However, when weather or other physical conditions present a danger to participants, we maintain the right to cancel the race. Less threatening conditions could result in an alteration of the course or race length to ensure safety for all.

Is the race timed?
The Cambridge Half Marathon is timed utilizing Mylaps BibTag technology. Timing chips are on the back of the race numbers. You will get them at packet pick up. Results will be calculated based on net-time.

Will there be nutrition along the course? 
There will be 6 water stops along the course - miles 2.3, 4.6, 7, 9, and 11. Gatorade will be offered at mile 4.6 & mile 9. 

Will there be pacers? 
Yes, MYSTRYDE will be providing pacers for 1:45, 1:55, 2:00, 2:15 & 2:30 finishing times.

Do you allow refunds?
All entries are final; there will be no refunds or deferrals.

Can I create or join a team after I have registered?
You can create or join a team until the team deadline on October 27th at midnight. Here are the steps you can follow to make the change.

Is the race accessible by public transportation?
Yes, take the MBTA Green Line E to Lechmere Station.

Who does the race benefit?
The Cambridge Half Marathon benefits the City of Cambridge Scholarship Fund and Cambridge Camping.

Can I park on race day?
There is limited free parking available although we encourage you to carpool, take public transportation via MBTA, or Lyft/Uber to CambridgeSide on race day. You may park at the following locations for FREE: 

CambridgeSide Parking Garage - 100 CambridgeSide Place, Cambridge, MA 02141

***All parkers should enter on CambridgeSide Place, accessible via Land Blvd.

First Street Garage (City Garage)

***All parkers should enter on Spring Street. Access by coming down/up Second street and turning onto Spring Street.
