REGISTRATION & RACE NUMBER PICK-UP

REGISTRATION

  • Online Registration Closes Saturday, September 30, 2023 @ 8:00 pm
  • Walk-up registration will be available during pre-race packet pick-up (Saturday, October 30th from 11am - 2pm at the Candler Park Fall Fest) and on race morning from 8:00 am – 8:40 am.

RACE NUMBER PICK-UP

  • Save time race morning.  Early race number and t-shirt pick-up will be available Saturday, October 30th from 11am-2pm at the Candler Park Fall Fest.  Visit the Candler Park Conservancy Tent located near Kidlandia.
  • Shirt and number pick-up will be available for pre-registered runners race morning from 8:00 am – 8:40 am near the Candler Park Playground.
 
RACE DAY INFORMATION

COURSE MAPS

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION 

  • Limited on-street parking will be available near the race start/finish area.
  • ROAD CLOSURES:  Candler Park Drive (closed between McLendon Ave and Benning Place, McLendon Ave (closed between Candler Park Drive and Mell Ave), Terrace Ave NE (closed between Marlbrook Drive and Clifton Terrace)
  • MARTA - the Edgewood/Candler Park Station is approximately 0.5 miles from the Park
  • Walking, biking, rideshare are also highly recommended.  
  • Plan to arrive 45-60 minutes before the start of your event to allow adequate time for locating a parking space and walking to the start line.

START/FINISH RESTROOMS & WATER  

  • Available in Candler Park

5K/1 MILE START STAGING

  • Runners and walkers should line up according to projected pace per mile.  (fastest runners at the front)

STROLLERS

  • Strollers are welcome.  Please line up according to your projected pace.

PETS

  • THE FALL FEST 5K and FUN RUN COURSES ARE NOT DOG FRIENDLY!  We love dogs, but they will not be allowed on the course. Well behaved dogs, accustomed to crowds, on non-retractable leashes are welcome to cheer for their people from the sidelines.  

ON-COURSE WATER

  • The on-course water station is located at the intersection of Euclid Ave and the Freedom Path  (runners will pass the station as they enter the Freedom Path at approximately mile 1.5 and again as they follow the Freedom Path to the Finish.).  Please keep moving through the water station and take advantage of trash containers to discard cups. 

AWARDS

  • The 5K Awards Ceremony will take place at 10:30 am on the Main Festival Stage.  Awards will be presented to the 1st Overall Male and Female Finisher.
  • Medals will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Male and Female Finishers in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
