Race Rules & Guidelines
General Guidelines
- The race is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.
- Participants must be officially registered and wear ae race bib on front of their clothing.
- Runners, joggers, and walkers are welcome. Line up according to pace.
- Be respectful to fellow participants, volunteers, and staff.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior (e.g., pushing, verbal abuse) may result in disqualification.
- This is a fun, inclusive, community event — be safe and enjoy the race
Start, Finish & Awards
- The race will begin promptly at the designated location and start time. Arrive Early!
- Chip timing will begin when you cross the start line.
- Stay on the marked course at all times; cutting the course may result in disqualification.
- Awards will be given to top finishers in designated age groups and overall categories.
- Overall awards are based on gun time. Move to the front of field for overall awards
- Age group awards are based on chip time. Time starts and ends when you cross the mats.
Strollers, Children & Pets
- Strollers are permitted but must start at the back of the field.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the course.
- Dogs are permitted on course. Dogs must be leashed and well behaved.
- Owners and dogs must start at the back of the field with walkers and strollers.
- Service animals are permitted in compliance with ADA regulations.
Headphones & Music
- Headphones are allowed, but please keep the volume low to hear instructions, other runners, and emergency vehicles. We recommend open ear headphones such as Shokz.
- Always be aware of your surroundings, especially if you are on an open course
Water & Aid Stations
- Water will be available on course and the finish line. Please see the course map.
If you need assistance during the race, notify a volunteer or aid station staff immediately.
Photos & Media
- The event may be photographed or recorded. By participating, you grant permission for your image to be used in promotional materials.
- All photos and video are free to participants and the link will be emailed to participants or provide on the race website.
Margarita Mile (Must be 21 Years Old)
How It Works
- Participants will complete four ¼-mile loops.
- Before each loop, runners must stop at the Margarita Station and drink a small margarita (4 oz).
- Once they finish their drink, they can head out on the next lap.
- The first to complete all four loops and drinks wins the Margarita Mile.
Margarita Station Setup
- A central drink station near the start/finish loop area.
- Volunteers will pour and serve drinks and ensure all margaritas are consumed before the runner continues.
- Water and shade available nearby for hydration and recovery.
Safety and Rules
- Participants must be 21+ to register for the Margarita Mile. Age will be verified at check-in with valid government-issued ID required.
- Margarita portions will be 4 oz for safety and fun.
- Medical staff will be available on site.
- Participants can opt-out of drinking (run for fun!) but will not be eligible for timed awards.
Awards and Recognition
- Top Male and Top Female finishers will be awarded Tacos for a year at Cantina Laredo.
- Fiesta Outfits are encouraged!
