What new procedures have been put in place for health and safety because of COVID-19?
Please refer to our "Safety Protocols" tab.
Can I register on race day?
No, because of limitations on crowds, wave assignments and other COVID restrictions, registration will close in advance of race day.
Where are aid stations?
Aid stations will be on course at mile 1.25 (5K and 8 miler), 3, 5, 6.75 for emergency hydration. Only bottled water will be offered. Again, participants are asked to carry their own hydration to avoid any congestion. Volunteers will have masks and gloves and there will be hand sanitizer available at each aid station.
Will Porta Johns be available?
Porta-johns will be available at the start and finish of the race. There will be hand sanitizer at each Porta John, and a volunteer will wipe the external door handle after each use. Lines will be marked so people waiting are six feet apart. The porta-johns will be positioned at least six feet apart with designated exit routes to ensure social distancing.
Where can I pick up my award?
Awards will be distributed after the race at Brown Truck Brewery, 1234 N. Main Street, High Point, N.C. between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
The participant is solely responsible to check their final finishing placement in order to pick up their award anytime during the scheduled pick up period. There will not be an awards ceremony.
Can I walk the event?
We love our walkers. We ask walkers to be aware that course time limits are race specific. We ask for a 16 min./mile pace. If you fall below this pace, we can unfortunately no longer guarantee course support—which is paramount for your safety. Aid stations, medical support, portable toilets, and road closures will start to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to reroute to a shorter version of the course, or move up onto the sidewalk where you will be required to obey regular traffic laws.
Is there any race schwag?
All registrants for the event enjoy a great course and race, custom finisher medals, custom race shirt, 2 coupons for NC craft brews (21+ years old only) that you will enjoy at the brewery at some point within the next month after the event.
What is your race day cancellation policy?
In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined.
Can I run with my pet or use inline skates?
Sorry, but for safety reasons, we do not allow dogs, bicycles, inline skates or any means of transportation other than running, walking or wheelchairs. Race Director reserves the right to reject any entry or to remove any participant from the race course without explanation.
