Do I need to run a specific course?
With Brewsfest, you have 2 virtual options.
- Run anywhere you want. Report your results by July 25. Receive Race Series participation points.
- Run our Brewsfest courses by using the RaceJoy app. Your results are automatically reported and you are eligible for awards. Run anytime you want from July 16 - 25.
How does RaceJoy work?
Please download the FREE RaceJoy app on your apple or android device. The app will assist you in running the correct route, as well as submitting your race results automatically. You will need your bib number when you are ready to race. Click here if you’d like written directions about using the RaceJoy app, or to see a video tutorial, click here. Please know the route! Course map and turn by turn directions are on RunSignUp.
Does RaceJoy tell me the route as I go?
RaceJoy does not give you vocal turn by turn directions. If you are interested in voice over directions, the RunGo app is available for free. Search for your route in RunGo (Carolina Brewsfest 5K, Carolina Brewsfest 8 Miler or Carolina Brewsfest Half Marathon). You must use the RaceJoy app to have an official time and be eligible for awards. The use of RunGo is optional. The RaceJoy app will announce to you if you are off course, but there may be a lag because of GPS technology.
Is there any race schwag?
All registrants for the event enjoy a great course and race, custom finisher medals, custom race shirt, 2 coupons for NC craft brews (21+ years old only) that you can enjoy at the brewery at some point within the next month after the event.
I ROCKED IT! NOW WHAT?
Be sure to celebrate your big finish! Come to celebrate and/or pick up your award on July 25 at Brown Truck Brewery, 1234 N. Main Street, High Point, N.C. between the hours of 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Redeem your free beer while there - remember you get 2 beer tickets with your race entry. Use the other at one of the other participating NC craft breweries. A list will be provided. You must be 21 years of age or older and have valid photo identification.
How do I report my results?
If you use the RaceJoy app to run one of the Carolina Brewsfest courses, your results will be automatically recorded. You can check your place on the leaderboard until the end of the race period (July 25). You can even go try to improve your results if you want to run the course again - but beware - only your latest results are saved. If you choose to run your own planned route, please report your results by visiting the results page on RunSignUp, then click “Submit Virtual Results” and follow the prompts.
