Children's Fun Run

Join us at Haddad Riverfront Park on Friday, Aug. 29, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. for our Children's Fun Run! The Charleston Distance Run Children’s Fun Run is open to all kids ages 4 through 12 -- whether or not their adults are participating in one of our Saturday events.
The children will be divided into three age groups:
- Ages 4 to 6, 1 lap
- Ages 7 to 9, 1 lap
- Ages 10 to 12, 2 laps
The race will have professional timing clock, and all participants will receive a medal and recovery snacks. Children will not wear bibs or receive individual finish times.
The Children's Fun Run is sponsored by the City of Charleston Department of Parks and Recreation.
