Immerse yourself further into the water crisis to get a glimpse into the daily lives of the people we're serving. This challenge helps to make the consequences of the water crisis real and tangible, and raise more money for our community in Cambodia.
Every day, women and girls around the world spend an estimated 200 million hours collecting water - walking miles AND miles per day, carrying a jerry can weighing up to 40lbs.
Can you race the entire 5K - 3.1 miles - holding the same amount? We believe in you. When it gets hard, just remember the true WHY behind this challenge.
The recommended fundraising goal is $40 - that means (1) more person is getting clean water thanks to your generosity and willingness to do something hard, for something good.
* Relay teams can consist of 1-7 people, WALKING OR RUNNING, and the distance holding the jerry can for each team member is completely up to your team's strategy. *
There will be prizes for the team that finishes first, and the most creative team!
