Teams & Fundraising

Can I form a team?

Absolutely! Teams are highly encouraged. Walking as a team is a wonderful way to honor a loved one, celebrate a survivor, support someone currently in treatment, remember someone special, or raise funds together.

Teams can be any size and include family, friends, coworkers, businesses, clubs, neighborhoods, school groups, or anyone who wants to walk together for a meaningful cause.

How do I create or join a team?

During online registration, you will have the option to create a new team or join an existing one. Invite your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors to join you, give your team a fun name, and enjoy fundraising together.

Can businesses create teams or challenge other businesses?

Yes! Businesses are encouraged to create teams, invite employees and customers to participate, and even challenge other local businesses to a friendly fundraising competition.

For example, a bank might challenge another bank, a real estate office might challenge another brokerage, or a salon might challenge other salons in the community. It is a fun way to build team spirit, support a local cause, and create a little friendly competition for a meaningful purpose.

Business teams can choose a team name, set a fundraising goal, dress in a theme, and invite clients, customers, friends, and family to support their efforts.

Let us know when your business issues a challenge so we can help cheer you on and encourage your efforts through CoastBusters social media.

Is fundraising required to participate?

No. Fundraising is encouraged, but it is not required. Every dollar raised helps provide local support to breast cancer patients and their families right here in our coastal communities.

Can I participate if I am not on a team?

Yes. Individual walkers are absolutely welcome. You can register on your own, bring a friend, or join a team later if you choose.

Can I still donate or fundraise on event day?

Yes. Donations and fundraising are welcome on event day.

Costumes, Themes & Team Spirit
