When is packet pick up?
Packet pick up will take place at Huckleberry Park (501 Huckleberry Lane, LeClaire, IA 52753) on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 5-7 pm. We will also have a same day packet pick up beginning at 7 a.m. on race day, August 2, 2025. Be sure to arrive early so that you can receive your packet prior to the event beginning at 8 a.m.
Is the color powder safe?
Yes, the color powder used at our event is made from a blend of food grade corn starch, FD&C dyes (food, drug and cosmetic dyes) and baking soda.
What are the age requirements?
Anyone is welcome to attend the Color Blaze 5k. Be aware that there will be color powder tossed at participants throughout the route. Proper face covering is highly encouraged.
Does my 3 year old need to register?
Children 5 and under do not need to register for the event. However, if you would like them to receive a tshirt and race pack they will need to be registered.
Are dogs allowed on the route?
Yes, dogs are permitted on the race route. Please ensure your dog is leashed and will tolerate the color powder well if you plan to bring them along.
Can I bring a stroller?
Absolutely! Please be aware that the stroller is subject to getting very colorful throughout the event, but will wash off after.
Will there be additional color powder packets available?
Yes! We will have additional color powder packets available for purchase at the event. If you would like more color powder for the color toss, please see us at the check in table on race day!
Can I register on race day?
Of course! You are welcome to register on the day of the race. Registration will be $30. Please note, t-shirts will not be guaranteed if registering same day.
