STARTING LINE

The race will start and finish at the top of the parking garage (level 9). The 5K, 10K and Half Marathon will begin together in one mass start. Participants will decend and climb garage levels 3 through 9. Each full loop is 1 mile in length.

 

DISTANCES

For the FIRST loop, runners will the complete a short loop. AFTER completing the first short loop, all runners will complete full loops (level 9 down to level 3 and back up). Upon completing each loop, runners will run through the finish line arch and begin the next loop. After completing all required loops, runner will run through finish line arch one last time to complete their race. 

5K - complete one short loop (0.1 miles), then complete 3 full loops = 3.1 miles

10K - complete one short loop (0.2 miles), then run complete 6 full loops = 6.2 miles

Half Marathon - complete one short loop (0.1 miles), then complete 13 full loops = 13.1 miles

RACE BIB

Each runner will wear a bib number on the front of their body (provided by the race). Unlike typical running races, the timing chip will be afixed to the FRONT of the bib. Do not remove your timing chip. Upon crossing the finish line, race management will remove your timing chip from the bib number (you can keep your bib number).

 

LAP COUNTING

Upon starting each new loop, runners will be given a rubber band to place around their wrist. When crossing the finish line, runners will have recieved the following:

5K - 3 rubber bands

10K - 6 rubber bands

Half Marathon - 13 rubber bands

 

TIMING MATS

Timing mats will be placed at the start line, finish line, start of loop and bottom of garage at level 3. Runners will be required to cross each timing mat multiple times during the race. 

 

BATHROOMS

Porta-potties will be stationed at the start/finish line on level 9. There are no bathrooms along the run course.

WATER STATIONS

There will be two water stations on the run course, one at start of loop (level 9) and one at bottom of loop (level 3).
