COURSES
The events will be run on State Park roads through Colton Point State Park.
The Full Marathon will be a certified Boston Marathon Qualifier.
The course map is here: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/5091133681/
- The certification course map is as good to review as the mapmyrun course map.
The marathon course is two loops of this map. The first 2.4 miles will be a climb with spots that level off.
However, after that it's minimal elevation changes and a nice downhill finish.
This course will feature amazing views of the Canyon and will be one of the most scenic and unique events you will run.
The full marathon will be two loops.
The half marathon is one loop.
The 5k goes out 1.55 miles and turns around.
The 10k goes out 3.1 miles and turns around.
Half Marathon and Marathon Course Info:
The course is actually a combo of road and trail.
The half marathon is an out and back loop, out 6.5543 miles and turnaround.
The first 4.2 miles are paved (and hilly!). That part ends around the scenic overlook. For the next 2.3 miles, since there is little auto traffic, it is a trail.
This trail is hard packed dirt, with no roots or potholes. It's really in very good shape.
- All runners/walkers are encouraged to carry their own hydration and fuel.
- There will also water and Gatorade at all stations.
- There will be aid stations every 2 miles, starting at mile 2.
- Please make sure to put your garbage (bottles, gels, etc.) in or near the provided garbage cans on the course (just after the aid stations) or carry it to the next station.
