Volunteer

A note to anyone interested in volunteering:

As the Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge Event approaches, we are seeking volunteers to support the event on race day and during various pre-event preparations. Whether you can spare an hour, a morning, or a full day, your help would be invaluable in making this event a success. By contributing your time, you'll support our The Larc Norcross School families, staff, and friends and play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of children in our community. Volunteering offers opportunities for personal growth, networking, and the joy of knowing you've made a positive impact.

Be sure to register as a volunteer so we can plan ahead (

A note to all volunteers who have already signed up:

Hello Friends,

A huge thank you for volunteering for this year's Cooper Norcross Run the Bridge Event.  We’re thrilled to have you on board and part of the team!

Just a friendly reminder to join us on Sunday, November 2nd, at Camden Athletic Complex, 401 Delaware Avenue, Camden, NJ 08102. Please plan to arrive by 6:00 am, as roads will start closing at 7 am. We will have hot coffee and donuts available.

When you arrive, feel free to park in lots 15, 16, or 21 (check out the map below for details). Once inside, please sign in at the volunteer table, where our team will be excited to give you your assignments and point you in the right direction. This is where you will pick up your orange Run the Bridge volunteer shirt. Please note that if you volunteered last year, please wear that shirt - our shirts this year are the same. Each assignment will have a lead volunteer ready to help and guide you during your volunteer experience!

If you have any questions while onsite, don’t hesitate to call me (when checking in you will be given a lanyard with my phone number on it). If you're unsure where to go, just ask at the info table—they'll be more than happy to assist you or get in touch with me.

A little tip: Dress comfortably for the weather! The event will go on rain or shine. It might be a bit chilly at first, but it will warm up. If you’re cheering on our runners, consider bringing along some cozy items like blankets, gloves and a hat.  If you are bringing any personal items; please put them in a clear bag or you are welcome to check any personal items in at the UPS bag check.

We truly appreciate your support. This event wouldn’t be possible without amazing volunteers like you, and we’re so grateful for your time and energy.

And don’t forget—DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS at 2 AM on Sunday, November 2! Make sure to set your clocks BACK one hour Saturday night before you go to bed!

Thank you for being part of such a wonderful day for our students at Larc! I can’t wait to see everyone bright and early on Sunday morning!

Warm regards,
Kim Cowperthwait, CMP

Manager, Events & Community Affairs, Larc Norcross School
