Description

The Shinzen Run started over 35 years ago under the direction of Ken Takeuchi and has supported the Shinzen Garden. 

Proceeds will benefit the Shinzen Garden in memory of Ken Takeuchi.

Participants will receive:
  • Finisher Medal
  • T-Shirt
  • Pancake Breakfast
  • Free entry the Shinzen Garden
  • Age Group awards: 6-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-39, 40-59, 60-69, 70 & up.
  • Small Bonzai plant kit for 1st Place male/female in each age group in the 5k and 10 mile
  • Virtual Run option available (no age group awards)

Venue, Start/Finish Lines

The race starts outside the main gate of the Group Activity Area, just north of the Shinzen Garden, and finishes inside the Group Activity Area. Pancake Breakfast will be served near the finish line.

Volunteers

Volunteers earn a free run, or 50% off any of our multisport events, pancake breakfast and a t-shirt.  

Volunteer codes are transferable and do not expire.

Volunteer twice at the same event to earn two runs, or a free multisport event. 

For example, Volunteering as Course Monitor, and Clean Up earns a free Triathlon.
