The South Park Half Marathon

From the producers of The North Park Half Marathon, we welcome you to The South Park Half Marathon.
On March 6th, experience the beauty of one of Western Pennsylvania's most popular running locations - South Park! Starting from the museum, this paved road course consists of two loops. After the race, be sure to stick around for refreshments. See you on Saturday, March 6th! Runners and walkers welcome!
AWARDS
Awards will be given to the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Open & Masters Finishers as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over. Awards will be based on gun time.

SCHEDULE
- 7:30 AM - Race day packet pickup (not recommended)
- 8:45 AM - Packet pickup closes
- 8:55 AM - National Anthem
- 9:00 AM - RACE START
- 1:00 PM - Race cutoff
AN ICONIC PITTSBURGH PARK
Starting by the museum building, you will run by the famous horse track, the South Park Game Preserve home to a bison herd, and the Oliver Miller Homestead (where the first shots of the Whiskey Rebellion were fired).
PARKING
There is plenty of parking in the lot near the museum building and other surrounding parking lots.
COURSE
The race course consists of two loops on roads and paths in the park. It is a moderately challenging course with consistant hills and around 1,000 ft. of elevation gain.
TIMING
This race is chip timed by Wolf Creek Race Management. Timing splits will be at miles 6.5 & 12.1. Spectators can sign up for live text notifications at the button below.

Yes. Portable restrooms will be placed near the start/finish area and along the course.
Yes. Aid Stations with sports drink, water, fruit snacks, granola bars, and first aid kits will be available along the course. Aid stations will be located at miles 1.2, 3,6, 6.5, 9, 11.9.
Yes. Race-day registration is available online.
Yes. The time limit is 4 hours (1:00 PM).
There is plenty of parking around the start/finish area.
