Event Description
Championship Matchday Starts with Heart at the NWSL Championship 5K, presented by CVS Health. A new matchday tradition, the 5K brings fans together on the morning of the biggest game of the NWSL season to start the day with movement, community, and Championship energy. Fans of all paces can hit the course, celebrate their shared love of the game, and cross the finish line ready to carry the excitement into NWSL FanFest and the 2026 NWSL Championship.

Getting to the Race
Centrally situated in the Greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area, The Wharf neighborhood is located near two Metro stations which are only a short walk or free Wharf Shuttle ride from the water. Of course, you can always ride your bike or even take the Water Taxi to get here.

The Wharf has three underground parking garages that are open around the clock. Each garage has multiple entrances:

PUBLIC TRANSIT
Metro Stations
- Waterfront Metro Station (Green line)
One block to Waterfront Metro: Head southeast on Maine Avenue SW, which turns into M Street SW. After one block, the domed entrance to the Metro will be on your left, near 4th Street SW. - L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station (Blue, Orange, Silver, Green, Yellow lines)
8-minute walk to L’Enfant Plaza Metro: Head north on 7th Street SW, turn right onto D St. SW, and the Metro will be on your right. You can also ride between The Wharf and L'Enfant Plaza Metro station on our free SW Shuttle. The SW Shuttle picks up passengers on 7th St SW at Maryland Ave SW.
