The 2022 Race To Beat Cancer will be a VIRTUAL RACE ONLY to reorganize and ensure we raise as much money as possible for cancer research. You'll have the opportunity to run or walk your 1-mile, 5k, or 10k distance - or bike 25 miles - on any day, at any time, and from anywhere from October 10 - October 22, 2022. Then be sure to join us for our Race Celebration Day on Saturday, October 22 at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC! There you will enjoy a wonderful breakfast, have an opportunity to win some great prizes. You will also be able to hear and meet the incredible patients and staff who will inspire you with their stories and education on the latest treatments that are saving lives locally and around the globe.
Race proceeds will support cancer research at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital. With more than 100 clinical trials open at any given time, patients at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital have access to world-class, innovative and groundbreaking care provided by teams of specialists in medical oncology, radiation oncology and surgical oncology in a state-of-the-art facility.

Since this is a virtual race, YOU DECIDE your course and distance. There are a lot of apps to help you track your walk/run/bike ride. For example, MapMyRun is a great app to that you can use to track your individual progress or join a group. Whatever you choose, have fun and know that improving your health is also helping raise critical funds for the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at Sibley Memorial Hospital who translate discoveries into new cancer therapies.
