I CAN'T RACE—Options

Pacers Running realizes that in life, curveballs come our way every-so-often making it necessary for a change in plans. As you complete your race entry, know that you will have some options in case this happens to you.

 

Active Duty Military, Fire-Rescue
For In-Person race registrants, in addition to being offered a courtesy entry discount, if a required duty shift requires missing the race, providing verification of that schedule will grant a full refund of entry monies paid. Email events@runpacers.com to request a refund.

NQA – No Question Asked Refund Ticket
You may purchase the NQA ticket—only at the time of initial registration—for $20 up to September 9 --in advance of race date. The ticket covers paid entry costs and add-ons except the pre mail packet after 8/12 (the shipping date for pre-mail.  NQA does not refund additional direct donations, and bank or processing fees collected that the race did not ever receive. If you need to redeem that NQA opportunity you can request that NQA refund action through midnight September 14, 2024 by emailing events@runpacers.com.  NQA is eligible only for all new 2024 entries exclusive of complimentary registrations. 

Refunds 
Aside from an Active-Duty requirement and the NQA refund ticket purchase, No Refunds of entry monies is offered once a registration transaction is complete.

Switch of Race Distance
You may switch your DC Half event through your RunSignup profile:   “Transfer” to shorter, or longer! Up until September 9,2024 , you can complete this for yourself through your RSU profile. Higher cost events will pay an up-charge, lower cost will not be refunded. You can NOT change to a different Pacers race. How do I change my event choice?  
After September 9?? You can still switch DC Half events by emailing events@runpacers.com.

Transfer of Entry to a Different Runner
Up until September 9, 2023 you can transfer your entry as a "Gift" to a different runner. You can complete this for yourself through your RSU profile. The new runner will pay a $20 fee to the race and must complete the new transferred entry by midnight December 3, 2023 (any other payment arrangements are between you and the new runner and we do not offer the Transfer Refund opportunity!) I need to transfer my registration to another person.

Deferral of Entry
You are able to mark your current active status entry as Defer to the same race in the one-next-following year for a $30 fee up to September 9, 2024. You can complete this for yourself through your RSU profile. How do I defer my registration? 
** Any add-ons that you purchased for 2024 will NOT carry over to 2025 and are not refundable.

Event Mandated Cancelation
While we are optimistic that these extraordinary times requiring exceptional health and safety measures are coming to a close, in the case that Pacers chooses to cancel an event through an abundance of caution for athletes, staff, and spectators, a plan of action for options to receive commensurate values for paid race entries will be crafted and communicated in all haste. 

The plan may require choice responses from registered active status participants, so please be aware of potential incoming direct email, updates via our main website, registration site, and our social media platforms with information on how to respond.
