Description

When:  Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 9 a.m., rain or shine. Healthy Kids Run starts at 8:50 a.m. Day of registration starts at 8 a.m.

 

Where:  Hopkins Farm Creamery, 18186 Dairy Farm Road, Lewes, DE 19958

 

Course:  Off-road cool farm course heading back into the pastures of Hopkins Farm. Starting & Finishing at the home of Hopkins Ice Cream, runners and walkers will enjoy the farm feel of going through the pastures, past the hay bales, past the barn, through the covered bridge and around the pond. A unique course on beautiful Hopkins Farm.

 

Registration:

  • $30 until Oct 11, 2024 at midnight
  • $35 after (Oct. 12, 2024 -->) and on event race day.
  • Race-Day Registration starts at 8 a.m.
  • Free Kiddie K for kids 10 and under.
  • Make checks payable to "Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation"

Awards:  Unique Awards for overall male, female, and master’s winners. Top 3 male/female runners in 10-year age groups starting with 10 & under thru 70 & over. 5K walk awards to top 5 male/female finishers. Ribbons to all Kiddie K finishers.

 

Amenities:  Quality 2024 Lace up for Ag 5K Run/Walk long sleeve shirts to all participants. Results & photos will be posted at defb.org.

 

Benefits: The Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation was created to build awareness, understanding and positive public perception about Delaware’s farm operations, promote fresh local food and sponsor the Ag Education Mobile Classroom. The foundation partners with the New Castle, Kent and Sussex County Farm Bureaus to raise the funds necessary to successfully achieve the mission and provide education materials.
