Description
Middletown's longest running 5k. The Peach Festival race signals the original harvest of what was once the largest peach farming area in the Nation. All proceeds benefit the Middletown Athletic Club Scholarship Fund. (read more about the MAC Scholarship here.)
Please be aware, due to construction work in the park, we have had to move the location for registration and modify the course route.
Please use caution walking around the park and beware of construction equipment and uneven surfaces.

Bib Pick Up and Registration
NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION: Packet Pick Up and Day of Race Registration opens at 6.30AM under the trees, by the baseball field to the right Silver Lake Elementary School, near Start/Finish line. Close to the corner of South Catherine St and E Hoffecker St.
5k starts at 7:30 am sharp.

Traffic Alert - Surrounding Areas
Attention:
On Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, the Middletown Historical Society of the Town of Middletown will
be hosting the 32nd Annual Olde-Tyme Peach Festival. This event will kick off with a parade
that will commence at 8:45 am until approximately 11:30 am. The event and parade will impact
traffic in several local areas. Please plan accordingly. Only emergency personnel and local
residents will be able to access and exit using the preferred route below. Detours will be present
and marked on locations.
South Broad St.- closed 8:30-11:30 am between St. Anne’s Church Road and Main St. No thru
traffic- but residents will be allowed access to their homes - Between 8:30-11:30 am, residents
who reside on the S/E side of Broad and Main St. will be directed to exit and enter ONLY by
Berkman St. No further access on S. Broad St. from this point.
If you need access to the west side of Town from S. Broad St., you will be directed west onto St.
Anne’s Church Rd to Levels Rd to Rt. 301. If you need access to the east side of Town, you will
be directed east onto Noxontown Rd. to Silver Lake Rd. to East Main St.
E. Main St.- closed 8:30-11:30 am between Broad and Catherine St. There will be no access to
E. Main St. during the parade between Broad St. and Catherine St. A resident who resides on
the north side of Main St. and east side of Broad St. – you will need to exit going either
northbound on Broad St., Cox St. and Catherine St. to Lake St. North and South Cox St. at
Main St. will be closed. Please ensure you follow laws for one-way traffic.
W. Main St.- closed 5:30 am- 5:30 pm between Broad and Scott St. Please refer to the alternate
route below. During the parade there will be no through-traffic using Scott St. to Broad St., you
will need to turn down Peterson Rd or Wood St. as a detour. People who reside in the S/W
section between Broad St. and Main St. will have access, but there is no cut-through permitted.
North Broad St.- All traffic exiting side streets onto N. Broad St. between Main St. and Lake
St. will be directed northbound. To access West Main St., you will be directed west on W. Lake
St., south on Wood St. To access E. Main St., you will be directed east on E. Lake St. and south
on New St. If you reside on Anderson, Crawford, or Pennington Streets, you will be provided
access, but please stop and speak to the officer that will be on site at Lake and Broad St.
There will be no southbound traffic on Broad St. between Lake and Main between 8:30-11:30
am.
Silver Lake Elementary -- Anyone exiting this area for the 5K must proceed to the Library Lane
/ Main St. exit. Those who reside east of Broad St. and South of Main St will be able to exit
through the Silver Lake Elementary exit and use caution. There will be a traffic operator on
location to assist you. *** You will not be able to cross over Broad St. from this area.
Once the parade approaches Main St. from Broad St., you will not be able to proceed north on
S. Catherine St. from Silver Lake Park.
5K Route UPDATE- DRIVERS USE CAUTION IN THE AREA OF RT. 71 IN THE AREA OF
BERKMAN ST. AND LAKESIDE DR. BETWEEN 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM FOR RUNNERS ON
THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY.
