We have consulted with our Title Sponsor, St. Luke’s University Health Network to set the following age restrictions:

• 18 and older for the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon
• 14 and older for the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run and Walk, presented by St. Luke’s
• 10 and older for the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay

All participants under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian permission to register. Parents must complete the waiver on the registration form.

Sorry, we do not offer refunds or deferrals. If you think your ability to race this year is uncertain, we suggest purchasing the offered Enhanced Refund Protection when you register, which will entitle you to a refund if you are not able to participate.

Yes, there will be a 6.5 hour cut-off time. If you are falling behind the 6.5 hour pace, we will have a sag vehicle take you to the finish.

Yes, there will be a 4 hour and 30 minute cut-off time.

We utilize this distinction for placement in the corral at the startline. Half marathon runners are placed in the corral first, then our half marathon run/ walk and then our walkers. For more competitive runners we suggest you select the half marathon run  during registration. We know that we have a large mix of skill and fitness and we also use these categories to encourage and acknowledge those that are looking to move through the race at a more grdual pace. 

Participants will be able to pick up their bibs, at the Race Bib Pick-up on November 14th, or if they are unable to attend the expo they can pick up bibs race day for $15 fee. 

Bib pick-up will be from 9-2pm

Yes. You can have someone pick up your bib for you at the expo. 

No. Bibs are assigned to specific racers who are entered in specific gender classes and age groups. Giving your bib to another racer can cause major problems in scoring, depriving deserving racers from winning awards or meeting place goals. Please do not give your bib to another racer. Racers participating with another person’s bib will be viewed as bandits. Their results will be removed and they will be banned from future D&L RaceFest races for two years as will the registrant who provided the bib.

Yes! When you pick up your bib, ask to switch races and you will be directed to a race official who can switch you to the half marathon. Please note that you will start the half marathon in Bethlehem, not Allentown.

No. The team leader is responsible for picking up all of their team’s bibs at number pick-up and distributing them to the team members. They may also designate someone else from the team to pick up team members bibs.

We will provide free shuttle buses from the race finish area in Easton to start lines in downtown Allentown and downtown Bethlehem. Signs and volunteers can direct you to the shuttle bus loading site. Shuttle buses will run about every 15 minutes

No, there will not be a shuttle from Easton to the starting lines before the race.

Yes. We will have a bag drop at both start lines. Please help us eliminate plastic waste by bringing your own bag for the bag drop. Thank you!

Sorry, no. Much of the trail area is too narrow for dogs to be alongside runners or walkers. For the safety of all participants, we do not allow dogs to participate with you on this course.

Yes. St. Luke’s will have a fully staffed medical tent at the finish line to attend to health needs and injuries. Additionally, St. Luke’s personnel will be stationed throughout the course and have immediate radio access to local EMS departments to cover emergency situations.

Half Marathon Parking - Bethlehem 

Parking is free in City of Bethlehem garages, lots and streets on Sunday. Allow ample time to park and make it to the start line. 

Even though parking is free, you will still need to take a ticket to activate the gate at the North Street  Garage. Keep the ticket in a safe place in your car; you will need it to exit. Do not take the ticket with you  when you race. You risk losing it and delaying your exit.

We are currently working with the city of Allentown to provide specific parking decks available for race participants. Please note parking is FREE on the streets of Allentown on Sunday, November 15th. 

Yes, as long as the alternate meets the criteria for your relay category. Team captains must update their runners’ information in RunSignup so we have accurate contact information to meet our medical and safety protocols

Yes. In order to do so you must reach out directly to the race director so that you can be switched into appropriate category 

Yes, as long as the combination of runners for each of the legs meet the criteria of each category. You will need to determine which runner or runners run multiple legs.

Teams registered in the Corporate Relay Challenge will compete for the title of Fastest Corporate Relay Team and an exclusive grand prize package featuring an unforgettable experience at an IronPigs game:

Prize Redemption: The winning team’s suite experience must be redeemed during April–May of the 2027 IronPigs season.

Corporate Relay Challenge registration includes eligibility for the prize package. Standard Marathon Relay registration will remain available for teams not participating in the challenge.

Relay team fee will be payed by the creator of the relay team. This is the only registration fee associated with the relay team. Once the creator of the team has paid the registration fee all additional members may sign up for free on runsignup. On the regostration page team members simply select that they will be doing the relay. The next screen will prompt them to select thier relay team from the drop down menu. 

Most of the D&L Trail is finely crushed gravel that is suitable for walking, running and bicycling. Roughly 50% of the course will be crushed gravel/ soft surface and the other 50% will be road. The course is between 6-12 feet wide in most sections with the majority of the course running alongside the D&L canal. 

The marathon is a net-downhill course. There will be some very small hills in the early miles of the marathon. 609 ft of elevation gain with 796 ft of elevation lost during the marathon. The half marathon is a net downhill course. You will have a steady downhill in the first half-mile, then the rest of the course will be mostly flat or a 1 percent downhill other than a slight uphill grade for about 200 meters at mile 7.

Yes. Both courses will be USATF certified for qualification for the Boston Marathon and other races that require you to submit qualifying times.
