Virtual 50K Rules and Results
How To Report Your Results For The D3 Virtual 50K:
Since this is an officially unofficial event, here are the officially unofficial ways you can report your results for the D3 50K Solo Challenge.
The event begins at Friday May 9 at 7:00 PM and ends Sunday, May 11 at 7:00 AM. These are officially unofficial start and finish times – if you’re a few minutes (or even a couple of hours) early or late, no harm no foul. If you try and start on Wednesday May 8 and finish Thursday 16, then those results won’t be posted.
You have 36 hours to cover the 31 miles as you wish, and it’s a go-as-you-please event, meaning you can start, stop, run, walk, as many times as you wish during the 48 hours. You’ll get D3 swag, an awesome face mask, for participating in the 50K. The officially unofficial 36-time period is pretty firm – please don’t fudge this! You’re only cheating yourself if you do.
Report your results as follows – upload your results directly through this RunSignUp page by clicking the 'Submit Virtual Results' on the Result page of this site, post any documentation you have to the D3 Facebook page, or email the race timer Mike Melton at mike@mcmelton.com, or use the ‘Contact Us’ button on the D3 RunSignUp race entry page. All of those methods are acceptable, although it would help if you tag Mike Melton in your Facebook post so he gets notification of your post.
What documentation is acceptable? A photo of your GPS watch, a link to your online account such as Strava, a link to some course such as MapMyRun, a letter from your Mom, a pinkie promise that you did it, just give us anything you have. It’s all officially unofficial anyways!
Remember to have fun! That’s what it’s all about!
