Thank you for joining me in support of Spring Valley School. Given the novel outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, and therefore a multitude of quarantine marathons undergone by our neighboring communities at-large, SVS recognizes the urgency for our friends, families, and neighbors around Birmingham to get out, get active, reconnect, and ultimately recover from this unprecedented year that has been 2020. 
Therefore, our theme for year-end giving is a &#34;2020 Recovery&#34; 5k Trail Run, Fun Run, and Vendor Village, directly benefiting SVS&#39; COVID-19 Relief Funds. 
With these funds, SVS will...
<ul><li>Recover from expenses related to preparing school facilities and technology for safe learning, in both on-campus and hybrid formats, for the 2020-21 academic year.</li><li>Replenish need-based emergency scholarship funds for SVS families.</li><li>Restore the outdoor awning, providing shelter for classes resuming distanced instruction and lunch periods outdoors year-round.</li></ul>
