I’m building a fundraising group benefiting Carl’s Cause by joining the NFS 5K Walk/Run!
Carl’s Cause is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to changing the future of mental health by combating the stigma, creating awareness, and connecting people with vital resources. Founded in memory of 27-year-old Carl Specht, who died by suicide, the organization honors his life by turning grief into action and hope.
Carl’s Cause has taken mental health awareness to the stadium level — partnering with the Kansas City Royals to launch Mental Health Day at the K and being recently inducted into the Hall of Fame at The University of Kansas Health System, where they also helped create the nation’s first Behavioral Health Navigation program.
