ABOUT THE HOBOKEN SHELTER

Opened in 1982, The Hoboken Shelter is a community partnership that transforms lives by providing meals for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, and services to support people to become housed.

These programs help our homeless Guests develop the skills needed to gain employment, achieve independence, and reintegrate into the community. 

We are working to end homelessness one person at a time. In 2025 we:

• Moved 198 formerly homeless Shelter Guests into permanent housing of their own
  
  
• Funded $376,352 in security deposits directly to landlords through our 100% donor-fueled Campaign for Housing Justice
  
  
• Served 178,942 nourishing meals to the hungry
  
  
• Offered 19,096 safe beds 

The Hoboken Shelter is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our EIN is 22-3174286. We hold a 2025 Platinum Transparency rating on Candid.
