Thanks for being part of the Spencer Dash! While your registration fee helps cover race logistics and train access, any donation you make will go directly toward protecting the trails, landscapes, and public lands that make events like this possible. Your participation means more than just racing — it helps care for the very trails you're running on.
This year, we’re raising funds to support trail stewardship efforts across the region, helping care for the places we all rely on to run, explore, and connect with the outdoors.
With ongoing staffing shortages at the U.S. Forest Service, there are fewer resources available to maintain many of the trails we all depend on. That makes community-driven stewardship more important than ever.
Last year, we organized volunteer trail work to help brush and maintain trails (including at Spencer Glacier) and supported the installation of new signage along the Iditarod National Historic Trail. These kinds of hands-on efforts make a real difference in keeping trails safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone.
Funds raised this year will help us continue this work in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service to care for trails throughout the Chugach National Forest.
