Raven Run 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run - Cancelled
As the coronavirus spreads, we are still learning the severity of illness it causes, and to what extent it may spread in the United States. With that being said, it is with great regret that we are canceling our school's decades-old main fundraiser, Raven Run 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run at the 48th Annual German Fest. St. Benedict Catholic School has been in continuous operation since 1921. The funds raised in the past have helped maintain our school buildings such as air conditioning units, playground equipment, general maintenance and more.
Many of you have very generously asked to donate your registration fee as a way to support St. Benedict Catholic School in the wake of this substantial financial hit. All donation receipts for tax-deductible donations will be sent by December 2020. However, we will issue refunds on individual registrations if you choose not to use your entry fee as a tax donation to our school.
Thank you for your understanding as we all navigate through these unchartered waters. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who have been impacted by COVID-19. Take care and God bless!

This super fun event kicks off the St. Benedict Catholic School's German Festival each year! The One Mile Fun Run will kick off at 8:00 AM and the 5k Run and Run/Walk begins at 8:30 AM. The run begins at St. Benedict Catholic School, 12786 Illinois Street Elberta, AL 36530, and is an “out and back” 3.1 mile course. Water is supplied on the course. Gumbo from Wolf Bay, beer, German sausage, and great prizes await participants at the post party! So don your lederhosen or dirndl, come fill your stein and join us at the Raven Run! Prost y’all!

Event Information
Join us for a full day of fun at the 48th Annual St. Benedict Catholic School German Festival on Saturday, April 25th in Elberta, Alabama! The day kicks off at 8am with the Raven Run 5K / 1 Mile Fun Run then stroll the aisles of artists and crafters or sit down, relax, and enjoy the entertainment. Be sure to come hungry for the delicious German food including goulash, rolled cabbage, sausage dogs, and amazing desserts! The raffle begins at 5pm....be sure you purchase a ticket in advance for your chance to win $20,000 CASH....only a limited amount of tickets will be sold!
