Julius Bennett Hope Scholarship Virtual 5K

Donation Goal: $5,000

Proceeds from the virtual 5K will go to the Julius Bennett Hope Scholarship fund for the 22-23 Academic School year. The organization has given 8 scholarships since established in 2020. Julius Bennett was one of the first African American Deputy Sheriff of Lowndes County. His family has resided in Lowndes County for over 50 years and understands the power of community and education.

We want to create a community of like-minded young adults aspiring to excel above expectations and assist others along the journey. Our minds and environments often limit our abilities to see the opportunities available. Creating this community allows us to push each other higher and produce a culture beyond our forefathers’ dreams.

This scholarship is to assist graduating seniors from Lowndes County with starting their journey in higher education and start connecting our next generation.
