All of our fundraising efforts throughout the year go towards our overall landscaping plans for the garden which have been in development for three years and are finally ready to bid out. These plans are estimated to cost $450,000 and will address stormwater management issues onsite, ADA compliance and beautification of the garden. The Miss Sims Garden Foundation Board of Directors, and Executive Director, Amy Weis, are excited to get this project underway so they can offer the surrounding community a more inviting, user-friendly space to visit, stay awhile and come back to time and time again for leisure and events. The garden has already been a safe-space during COVID to host birthday parties, baby showers, weddings and more but it needs some improvement to bathrooms and the addition of stroller and wheel-chair friendly access points.
