This is the 10th annual Run for Rett Syndrome: Remembering Breanna Leatherwood run is being held to raise awareness of Rett syndrome. Rett syndrome is a developmental disability that primarily affects girls causing loss of motor skills and the ability to talk. The health is quite fragile resulting in seizures, and difficulty with breathing, chewing and swallowing. Daily challenges are faced by those affected as families struggle to ensure the health and educational services are provided.
