Andy Buschmann 4-Mile Classic

Hello, Friends and Community Partners!  The Andy Buschmann 4 Mile Classic is held on the first Saturday of June each year. Formerly the White River Classic, this has been an important race in our community for almost half a century!  The race was given its current name in 2021, after the death of Andy, who along with Jack Heston, ran the 4 miler every year.  The August heat was no match for their commitment to keeping the streak. Jack, along with Andy’s family members, continues to run each year.

Andy was much more than a “running machine.”  He protected his community as a pharmacist and a volunteer sheriff’s deputy.  He entertained us with his guitar, voice, and wit.  He was a loving husband, father, friend, and G-Daddy.  

Please consider making a donation to the Andy Buschmann 4 Mile Classic.  Race proceeds benefit local charities such as the Children’s Advocacy Center of Independence County.  The mission of CAC is “To empower, protect, and heal victims of child abuse.” This is a much-needed mission in Independence County that we are proud to support.
