The Winston Penn Wardlaw Memorial Fund
The Winston Penn Wardlaw Memorial Fund was established to honor the memory of a boy who entered Catholic High as a smiling, awe-struck 14 year-old and left it as a smiling, world-as-his-oyster young man.
Win Wardlaw was the epitome of the Catholic High boy. He studied hard, played hard, prayed hard, and embraced the essence of brotherhood that so permeates Catholic High. Win was a leader. Win was a clown. Win was a scholar and a trusted friend. Most of all, Win was a Catholic High boy through and through.
The Winston Penn Wardlaw Memorial Fund was established in June 2010 to benefit awe-struck boys as they enter the halls of Catholic High for the first time. It’s our hope that another Win Wardlaw will experience the benefit of a strong foundation as he progresses towards manhood.
Win loved Catholic High and knew that service to the school was the best way to return its best gifts to him. Therefore, his family has established this memorial fund in his name so that boys from every walk of life will have the same opportunities that Win did. We know that our son’s spirit still walks the halls of Catholic High with a big smile and a gigantic heart. Through this fund, we are certain that other boys will feel that spirit and know the importance of true and abiding brotherhood.
