The American Heart Association was a charity that Debbie Baxter held near and dear to her heart. She struggled with cardiovascular problems, so she always gave back to this charity as she understood firsthand of how life saving their work is.
She also donated regularly to the Haven House of Poplar Bluff throughout the years. As she was such a motherly figure to so many, she took every chance she was offered to give back to those in need. Especially girls in need as she would want someone to do for her three daughters if ever needed.
She was an avid member of Osborn Baptist church as well. She truly cared about the exposure of God's word to the next generation, therefore she provided countless dishes to the Wednesday night youth group. She also ensured that her girls were a part of summer time bible schools, often assisting in them when they were young. She was not only a disciple for how she treated people, but she also discipled children and encouraged so many to live a life for Christ.
These causes were important to her, so it's only right that we keep her missions going. She changed so many lives, helped so many people. It is our hope that this race may do the same.
