Women's Resource Centre
The Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) is a registered charity (#267). Our goals are to support women facing life’s challenges, by providing information, appropriate referrals and confidential counseling. We aim to help to instill in women the self-respect, self-determination and leadership qualities that will guide them towards realizing their potential with our education and training programs. We also aim to promote gender equality by advocating for social change that eradicates injustices, inequalities and sexism against women.
We are committed to ‘Supporting Women, Strengthening Families, and Fostering Community’.
Throughout our 32 plus years history, the WRC has evolved greatly in its mandate and services to meet the increasing community need to assist the women of Bermuda, as well as provide support for all barriers that women may face.
An Executive Director provides day-to-day management and supervision of staff, which includes Counselors and Volunteers. The WRC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that is elected annually.
The WRC is accredited by The Bermuda National Standards Committee at the highest standard.
