The Carneros Run was established to raise funds for and to honor the Carneros Volunteer Firefighters. Carneros Volunteer Fire Company operates as one of nine volunteer fire companies within The Napa County Fire Department. Responding to all-risk emergencies of all types throughout Napa County, CA.
Established in 1959, the Carneros Volunteer Fire Department “CVFD” was originally named the Edgerly Island Volunteer Fire Department. CVFD operates as one of the volunteer departments under the Napa County Fire Department. We are an all-risk department, providing emergency response to all types of emergency incidents. This includes but is not limited to: fire and rescue calls, medical emergencies, and public assists. Our immediate coverage area consists of the Edgerly Island and Carneros areas, extending to the West at the Sonoma County line, to the north to the Browns Valley areas and Redwood Road, and to the east to the Solano County Line including the Napa airport industrial areas.
The Fire Department facility also provides a venue for various community events and meetings, such as the Edgerly Island Reclamation District and Milton Road community events. These facilities are maintained by the CVFD members and the donations and generosity of our community and local businesses.
