Whom we support - Safe Passage Heals

Run for HEALING, Race for OPPORTUNITY, Walk for EMPOWERMENT!

WROX 2020 benefits Safe Passage Heals, a non-profit whose mission is to help break the cycle of domestic abuse by healing and empowering women and their children, enabling them to live new, safe and productive lives.

Safe Passage Heals supports and assists women and their children in healing and rebuilding their lives after they have escaped domestic violence and abusive relationships.

"Hello WROX Participants,

Safe Passage has been doing its important work for more than 20 years. We are located in the San Fernando Valley, and our mission is:

“To break the cycle of domestic abuse by healing and empowering women and their children, enabling them to live new, safe and productive lives.”

1 in 4 women experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Additionally, every 9 seconds in the United States, a woman is assaulted or beaten. Our organization exists to help them. We direct hundreds of women to job listings, housing opportunities, and government assistive resources available for them.

Women who need assistance with multiple facets in life join our program where we provide transportation, work skill training, counseling sessions, self-defense classes and so much more to bring stability to women who are abused.

$20 allows us to provide transportation for a woman and her children for a week. $75 will enable us to provide counseling sessions for a woman and her children for a month. Raising $25,000 would allow us to help five more women and their children for a whole year. When women graduate from our program, they come out with jobs, housing, and the ability to raise their children without relying on anyone else but themselves. Join us in fighting the battle against domestic abuse.

There is also the opportunity for you to help Safe Passage further. In addition to a portion of your registration going to Safe Passage, you can raise additional donations through Crowdrise. 100% of all funds raised through Crowdrise go directly to Safe Passage. You can send your friends, family, and associates the article, images, and/or the video on the Crowdrise site to let people know the critical work Safe Passage is doing, and what a good cause the money will be put toward.

Start a team, join an existing team, or do it individually. If there are any questions, let us know.

Ready, Set, Go!

Thank You,

Trish Steele
