Thank you for considering a donation to The Child Abuse Prevention Center. Your support will not only prevent child abuse but will help us educate parents and caregivers to raise children in a safe, nurturing environment.
The CAP Center has been serving children and families through education, advocacy, health and safety locally and statewide for over 40 years. We make a difference in the number of children suffering abuse, neglect and abandonment.
With your help The CAP Center,
- Distributes Pack ‘N Play cribs to families who do not have a safe place to sleep their baby as well as a comfy sleep sack;
- Provides assistance to foster youth by providing life skills training, academic assistance, tutoring, financial literacy and referrals to resources;
- Targets parents with children under 5 years old to receive in home parenting education and resources throughout Sacramento County;
- Serves families and children 0-18 years of age throughout California to strengthen protective factors and decrease risk factors to prevent entry/re-entry into the Child Welfare System;
- Seeks to develop crucial skills in children ages two to five statewide who are at-risk for low performance for kindergarten entry;
- Mobilizes hundreds of AmeriCorps Members to administer services we provide within communities in the Sacramento region and throughout California.
