This year marks 21 years that the Town of Fairplay scholarship has been awarded. It was first established through the Burro Committee for Burro Days in 2006 and then taken over by the Town of Fairplay. It is now funded by the registrations for the Burro Buster 5k on Independence Day and by the generosity of the Town’s Board of Trustees. More than $32,000 has been awarded throughout the years to graduating in South Park and the Town looks forward to continuing this tradition each year.
